Auto Europa Car Rental at Tampa Airport
The airport of Tampa International is found in the United States of America, and is a hub for Silver Airways, an airline carrier operating under the United Express brand. It is also served by many other airline companies such as Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Air Canada, Edelweiss Air and British Airways. Flights are available to London, Switzerland, Canada and many other airports in the country. TPA is the IATA code of this airport, and it is located just six miles west of central Tampa, Florida. For ground transport, arriving passengers can rent a car from one of the Tampa International Airport car hire companies, such as Auto Europa, Avis, Hertz, Budget or National. They all offer competitive car rental rates and a large selection of high quality vehicles.
To rent a car in the United States of America the primary renter will need a valid drivers license (US-issued or Canadian-endorsed) and a major credit card, for example, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diner’s Club Int’l or Discover. Other cards may also be accepted, depending on the car hire company chosen. The renter will need to have a good credit record, as anyone could be subject to a credit validation check, and a safe driving record. It is completely at the discretion of the car hire company as to whether an individual may hire a vehicle. A hold of the estimated rental charges is usually placed on the renter’s credit card at the start of the rental period. A debit card may also sometimes be used for this purpose if the renter is over the age of 25, however, an additional amount will be held against the account (about $200) which will not be available for use.
There are certain rules and regulations that are applicable to younger renters, i.e. persons who are under the age of 25 (minimum age 21). Young drivers may not use a debit card when the vehicle is collected, only at the end of the rental period for the final payment due. They may also not be permitted to hire a vehicle from all the car categories available. Often larger SUVs, minivans and cars that are considered as ‘luxury or premium’ vehicles are unavailable. Specialty cars such as convertibles may also not be hired by younger individuals. Car hire by persons between the ages of 21 and 24 is also usually more expensive, as an additional amount must be paid per day for young drivers insurance. This amount could be up to $30.00 per day and per underage driver registered on the rental contract. There are also additional charges for second-drivers. A second-driver is someone other than the primary renter who is permitted to drive the vehicle.
Second, or additional drivers will need to meet the same requirements as the primary renter, and will also need to be present at the rental counters when the vehicle is collected from the Tampa International Airport car rental company, as their driving license will need to be approved. If a renter is from a foreign country, it is best to contact Auto Europa for details regarding the documents required. A passport is usually necessary, and perhaps the renter will need to have an International Driving Permit, if his/her local license is not printed in English. This document is obtained from authorities within the home country.
Auto Europa is a very popular car hire company at Tampa Airport, and always ensures that their customers receive the very lowest car rental rates possible. They also ensure that their customers receive all the equipment they require for a safe and efficient journey in Florida. Child seats are essential for families with young children, as all persons in a vehicle are required by law to wear seatbelts, and most parents would agree that it is much safer for their small children to have a seat of the correct size. Satellite navigation systems are also available, and although not required by law, are a wonderful piece of equipment to have with you on any journey. They provide accurate directions to any location, give information regarding traffic and road conditions and may include a selection of languages. Each item of equipment hired will have a small extra charge per day that they are required.
Auto Europa hand controls for disabled drivers can be arranged as well, by persons with a lower limb disability. From car hire companies at Tampa International Airport, hand controls will require an advanced reservation, but are free of charge. They are available on certain types of automatic vehicles, and operate the brake and accelerator pedals. Further services for visually and physically challenged individuals are also available with no additional charges.
Anyone who is not planning to return to the airport is recommended to arrange a one way hire, and to organize a more convenient drop-off location for their hired car. Vehicles may usually be returned to other airports nearby, or to downtown locations in the various cities of the state or neighbouring states. Cars hired may not leave the country without special permission, and without the organization of a cross-border rental. Auto Europa one way hires may have additional charges, but are sometimes more convenient.
Cars available from Auto Europa include the Ford Focus, Chevy Aveo, Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Elantra, Chevy Malibu, Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 300, Ford Fusion and Hyundai Sonata. There are also SUVs available similar to the Ford Escape, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Edge, Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition, and the minivans from Auto Europa are ideal for seven passengers, and include the Dodge Grand Caravan. These cars and others similar can all be found in a variety of vehicle categories. Contact Auto Europa Tampa International Airport for more information.
