Trains to and from St Louis International Airport (STL)

Upon arrival at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, buses, and trains.

St. Louis Lambert International Airport has two terminals, five concourses, and 86 gates. All international flights without border preclearance are processed in Terminal 2.

  • Terminal 1 contains 36 gates across two concourses.
  • Terminal 2 includes 18 gates across one concourse.

Look for the MetroLink train platform as you exit from either available terminal.

From the airport, you can take the MetroLink train for $2.50. Children under the age of 5 rides free. Children ages 5 to 12, Seniors 65 or older, and people with disabilities are eligible for discounted fares.

MetroLink (St. Louis, Missouri)

The airport is served by MetroLink's (St. Louis' mass transportation system) Red Line, with stations at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

It provides direct or indirect service to downtown St. Louis, the Clayton area, and Illinois suburbs in St. Clair County.

You can determine the direction and line of a MetroLink train by looking for the red or blue signs on the front and sides of the train cars.

The MetroLink is the mass transit system serving Missouri and the Metro East area of Illinois. The railway system operates as a subway in Downtown St. Louis and through portions near Forest Park to the west.

Serving 38 stations, the two rail lines (Red Line and Blue Line) connect St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Shrewsbury, Missouri, with Scott Air Force Base near Shiloh, Illinois, Washington University, Forest Park, and Downtown St. Louis.

The Bi-State Development Agency operates MetroLink in a shared fare system with the MetroBus lines.
