Salt Lake City International Airport, also known as SLC, is located in the state of Utah, and to the northwest of downtown Salt Lake City. It is a large airport, handling approximately twenty million passengers per annum, and is considered as the 21st busiest in the country for passengers. The airport is served by a number of airline companies, including Delta Air Lines for which it is a major hub, and offers many facilities for its passengers, including car rental companies. Flights to Salt Lake City Airport arrive at one of two terminal buildings, and one of five concourses. Although a credit card such as American Express, Diner’s Club Int’l, Discover, MasterCard and Visa are required by drivers younger than 25 years of age, a debit card may be used for the hold of the estimated rental charges by older drivers, provided that it has the MasterCard or Visa logo. If a debit card is used, however, an additional amount may be held against the account that will not be available for use. It is still wise, however, to have a major credit card with you when you collect your vehicle. Final payments can be made by debit or credit card by all renters.

Many of these categories have vehicles that can seat more than five passengers, and are therefore ideal for groups of travellers. The Dodge Grand Caravan, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban and Lincoln Navigator can seat up to seven passengers, and the Toyota Sienna, a Minivan, can seat up to eight people. If an even larger vehicle is required, passengers should select the Passenger Van category, with vehicles for fifteen people, such as the Chevrolet Express. Most vehicles hired can be arranged as a Europcar one way hire, and may then be delivered to a rental location other than Salt Lake City International Airport. One way hire services could incur additional charges, but their price will mainly depend on the length of the car rental period and the return location selected. Regardless of the return location, always bring back your vehicle with a full tank of fuel (if fuel was not purchased) and in a reasonable condition. Hand control equipment is only available for persons with a lower limb disability, and is used on certain types of automatic vehicles. It operates the brake and accelerator functions, but no other functions of the vehicle, such as the lights and windshield wipers. Always reserve hand controls, car seats and satellite navigation systems in advance of your arrival at the airport. An online car rental reservation is recommended for vehicles as well.
