Fort Myers Southwest Florida Reg Ferry Services

Upon arrival at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, and buses.

Note that trains are not available within a 30-mile radius of the airport.

However, a ferry station in the Florida Keys, about 20 miles away, can easily take you to multiple destinations.

It could take about 45 minutes to reach the Key West Express ferry terminal at Myers Beach.

A one-way taxi fare from Southwest Florida International Airport to the Florida Keys costs less than $50.

Key West Express (Ferry Terminal at Fort Myers Beach)

The ferry heads out from Matanzas Harbor on San Carlos Island (north of Fort Myers Beach from 8:00 AM and arrives in Key West around noon.

While the ship heading in the other direction leaves Key West at 6 PM and arrives at Fort Myers at 9:30 PM.

During your 3.5 hours on the ship, you'll be on the vast water in the Gulf of Mexico.

• Key West to Ft. Myers Beach: Boarding begins at 5:00 PM.

Boarding is required no later than 5:30 PM. (6:00 PM departure)

• Key West to Marco Island: Boarding begins at 4:00 PM.
