Upon arrival at Miami International Airport (MIA), retrieve your luggage and other personal belongings at the designated Baggage Claim area.

At MIA, they are on Level 1 of the terminals.

Transfer Services at Miami International Airport

MIA provides several ground transportation facilities including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, shuttles, buses, and trains.

Trains are located at the MIA Airport Station, which is accessible via an MIA Mover walkway system on the third level of the airport. Please look for the signs in the direction.

Rental Car Services at Miami International Airport

The Rental Car Center is next to the Miami Intermodal Center.

Please follow the purple MIA Mover signs to the third level of the Airport Terminal. To access the MIA Mover station, you can use the 3rd level Skyride (moving walks).

The rental facility is generally open 24/7. You can also inquire at your service provider for specific service hours and return procedures.

Ride Shares at Miami International Airport

Rideshare designated drop-off areas are at the Ground Transportation Center.

Passengers can reserve rideshare by downloading the company’s app on their smartphone and coordinating directly with their driver. They can also request a ride a few days before their flight to avoid the inconvenience.

Ridesharing apps should let users verify the identity of drivers by checking out their faces, license plates, and colors.

Taxis at Miami International Airport

Please proceed to the Airport Ground Transportation Center in front of the terminal building for your taxi.

One-way fare to Downtown is between $35.00 to $45.00.

If you need to travel outside the city area, please consult your driver for rates. It is customary to give the driver a tip (15-20% of the fare) for good service.

Trains at Miami International Airport

For Metrorail, Tri-Rail, and Amtrak trains, proceed to the Miami Airport Station.

From Miami International Airport, you can take the Miami Mover to Miami Airport Station. From here, you can take the Metrorail (Orange Line, Miami-Dade Transit) to travel to the city center. More information about train services at Miami International Airport.

The MIA Mover is a moving walkway that runs 24/7.

Buses at Miami International Airport

The Miami Beach Airport Express (Metrobus Route 150) connects the Airport and Miami Beach. For this express bus service, $ 2.25 for a one-way ticket.
