Trains to and from Newark Airport (EWR)

Newark Liberty International Airport Station (Airport Station)

Newark Liberty International Airport Station, also called Airport Station, is a railroad station on the Northeast Corridor in Newark, New Jersey.

The station provides access from EWR to the Airport Station, via the AirTrain monorail which connects the station to the airport's terminals and parking areas.

AirTrain Newark (EWR - Airport Station - EWR)

To and from EWR Terminal A, B, or C, you can get to the Airport Station in a few minutes.

• Terminal C, about 7 minutes
• Terminal B, about 9 minutes
• Terminal A, about 11 minutes

Notes:

For terminal-to-terminal transfers to catch connecting flights, please allow sufficient time to go through security checks at the next terminal.

There is no fee to pay and no ticket required for an AirTrain ride between the airline terminals, parking lots, hotel shuttles, and rental car facilities.

From Newark Airport, you can use the AirTrain to connect you to more transport options at the Airport Station, such as the NJ Transit, PATH, and Amtrak are available.

New Jersey Transit Corporation, branded as NJ Transit, is a public transportation system that serves New Jersey, portions of New York State, and Pennsylvania.

From Airport Station, you can get to the following destinations via NJ Transit rail service.

Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH / NJ Transit)

The Port Authority Trans-Hudson or PATH is a 22-kilometer rapid transit system in the northeastern New Jersey cities of Newark, Harrison, Jersey City, and Hoboken, as well as Lower and Midtown Manhattan in New York City.

From Airport Station, you can get to the following destinations via PATH/NJ Transit rail service.

Amtrak

Amtrak service on the Northeast Corridor runs approximately every hour between the Airport Station, New York City, and Philadelphia.

Amtrak also runs hourly service to New York City with some trains continuing to or originating from Boston, Massachusetts, providing service to Stamford and New Haven, Connecticut, and intermediate points.

From Airport Station, you can get to the following destinations via Amtrak rail service.

When you buy an NJ Transit or Amtrak ticket to or from Newark Liberty International Airport Station, that one ticket includes the AirTrain Newark portion, which is $7.75.

The AirTrain access fee is not charged for children 11 and under or customers using monthly passes with the airport as the origin or destination.
