Buses to and from Detroit Airport (DTW)
Upon arrival at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, and buses.
The airport’s two terminals, McNamara and Evans, operate their Pick-Up and Drop-Off points.
- Evans Terminal, please proceed to the Ground Transportation Center.
- McNamara Terminal, go to the north end of the Departures Level (Ticketing Level) near Door No. 1.
Bus fares start at $2.00. Discounts apply to qualified passengers. Bus fares are subject to change without prior notice.
SMART Buses
SMART bus provides service to and from Detroit Metro Airport.
- Evans Terminal: Route 125, Route 280
- McNamara Terminal: Route 125
It serves the Evans Terminal with Route 125 (Fort Street-Eureka Road), Route 280 (Middle Belt South), and the McNamara Terminal with Route 125.
SMART-FAST Route 261
SMART also offers a high-frequency service called FAST, which has limited stops and connects to downtown Detroit for less than an hour.
FAST Route 261 (Michigan Avenue) stops at both Detroit Metro Airport terminals.
Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority Buses

- McNamara Terminal
The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority also provides public transportation service, known as AirRide, between Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Ann Arbor.
AirRide serves the Evans Terminal and McNamara Terminal.
